Steilacoom Historical Museum Association
Donations to SHMA
Individuals or organizations may also support the work of SHMA through special donations of money or property. The donation or selling of property for a reasonable price has allowed SHMA to obtain title to significant historic buildings. Since SHMA is a non-profit volunteer organization, there may be opportunities for tax savings through your gifts.
The restoration of SHMA’s historic properties has been possible through the hard work of Association members, the generous support of the community, and through significant grants from the following agencies and foundations:
SAVE AMERICA’S TREASURES (NATIONAL PARK SERVICE)
WASHINGTON STATE HISTORICAL SOCIETY HERITAGE RESOURCES CENTER
BEN CHENEY FOUNDATION
FUCHS FOUNDATION
KILWORTH FOUNDATIONS
If you would like to donate a special gift of money, please contact us at SteilacoomHistorical@gmail.com or call us at (253)584-4133. Thank you for your interest in the preservation of history in Washington's first incorporated town.
